DETAILS OF PARTICIPATION FOR VACATION PROMOTION

 

 

1. The TriStar Travel vacation offer entitles the recipient to nights of hotel accommodations at the locations described on the purchase confirmation letter. This offer is designed for married and co-habitating couples, 25 years of age or older with a household income of greater than $50,000 USD.

2. Reservations may only be made by calling a TriStar Travel Host Resort Agents at 888-843-6566. All reservations are subject to TriStar Travel’ availability and allotment of rooms.

3. You must notify us of your dates a minimum of 30 days prior to your requested arrival date. If you plan on traveling on or near a holiday or special event, a 30 day minimum notice is suggested prior to your requested travel dates. This offer is not valid for group travel, which is two or more vacation vouchers used concurrently.

4. After you have called to reserve your dates, you will receive an email confirmation with your check-in instructions. No dates are guaranteed until you have received a hotel confirmation from the hosting resort. Do Not book airfare until the hotel confirmation is received.

5. Please print your email confirmation and bring it as well as two forms of identification (i.e., driver’s license and a major credit card) to your hotel as they must be presented upon check-in.

6. This vacation voucher provides hotel accommodations for two (2) adults and up to two (2) children. Children must be under the age of 18 and must stay in their parents’ room. Sorry, no pets allowed.

7. Your travel must be completed by the expiration date, which is 30 Days from the date of your purchase. Additional nights can be purchased at the nightly rate.

8. All accommodations are 3-star or better hotels. Some destinations have limited availability during peak seasons and holidays. TriStar Travel offers this vacation substantially below retail value in order to promote ownership at TriStar Network of Florida Inc. 

9. This voucher is valid for hotel accommodations only and does not include transportation, nightly hotel taxes (approximately $20/per night), meals, incidentals or any other miscellaneous taxes and fees, all of which are the purchasers’ responsibility. Participation in an optional Bahamas Cruise is independent of the Bahamas accommodation portion of the package. If you choose to participate in the optional Bahamas Cruise, you must arrange your own travel and must pay applicable port, service and transportation costs. If your package included a rental car option, you will be responsible for paying all applicable costs (carrier fees, fuel, insurance, additional equipment fees, surcharges, taxes, peak season rental fees, additional driver(s) fees, upgrades, etc.). TriStar Travel, its affiliates, agents, assignees, licensees, and designees, act only as agents for hotels and will not assume any responsibility for any loss, delay, accident, injury or damage to persons, property or any liability whatsoever arising from or in conjunction with services provided. Obtaining travel protection is recommended and can be added to your reservation at time of booking. Ask your Booking Agent for additional details.

10. If you notify the host resort of changes to your travel more than 21 Days from your arrival date, your reservation fee will be non-refundable, and retained on your account for future use. If you fail to show up (NO SHOW) for a scheduled reservation, you will be charged a nonrefundable fee of: Economy Accommodations-$75.00 per stay, Premium Accommodations-$90.00 per stay, and 1, 2, 3 Bedroom Units-$120.00 per night. Notifying the host resort of any changes to your travel dates less than 21 Days prior to check-in, will result in the immediate forfeiture of your reservation fee. If you notify the host resort 7 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival date, you WILL be accessed a surcharge representing one night's retail rental charge for the accommodations reserved (see fees above). 

11. This vacation voucher is fully transferable to a qualifying adult prior to confirming your hotel reservation. Once you have reserved your hotel stay, this vacation voucher is no longer transferable.

12. This promotion may be offered throughout the United States and elsewhere, however, it is void where prohibited by law and is not directed to residents in any state in which a registration of the vacation ownership plan is required but in which registration requirements have not yet been met. Names and addresses obtained from this promotion may be used for the purpose of soliciting sales of vacation ownership plans.

Prices – All prices are per person, in U.S. dollars and based on double occupancy unless otherwise stated. All prices are valid for travel as specified, are valid for new bookings only and are available to TriStar Travel members residing in the United States. Prices for land components, cruise components and vacation packages are subject to change until reservations are confirmed along with payment of an applicable per-person deposit. Seasonal and fuel or energy surcharges, restrictions, foreign currency fluctuations and blackout dates may apply. The exact price depends upon the day of departure, departure city, length of stay, ship, hotel, room or stateroom type, or other inclusions including, but not limited to, airfare, transfers, rental cars, taxes or administrative fees. For all bookings, any government-imposed increases in fees or taxes are the passenger’s responsibility to pay, even if the booking is paid in full. Any increases in fees or surcharges that are imposed by our travel suppliers and are outside the control of TriStar Travel are the passenger’s responsibility to pay. Unless otherwise noted, offers are not combinable with select rate codes, coupons or other offers. Any unused portion(s) of inclusions are nontransferable, nonrefundable and not redeemable for cash. 

 

Unless indicated, prices do not include airfare, gratuities, gasoline, optional insurance, underage/additional driver charges, upgrades, car rental drop charges, infant child seats, meals, telephone calls, some resort service fees, any personal or incidental items, or any other features not listed except where otherwise noted. Additionally, cruise prices do not include transfers, administrative fees, taxes, port expenses (TF&PE) and gratuities.

Deposit – • Land-only vacation package booking: $100 per person plus applicable hotel or other deposits• Cruise booking: deposit varies by cruise line and fare type• Other vacation deposits vary by vacation type; please inquire at time of bookingInsurance premiums and certain deposits, administrative fees and/or supplier fees are not refundable. A damage deposit also may be required at the time of booking for certain vacation packages.

 

 

 

Final Payment – Cruise bookings require full payment between 90 and 160 days prior to sailing, depending on the cruise line. Full payment is due 15 days prior to departure for all other vacation packages unless otherwise specified by individual suppliers. For Viking River Cruises, full payment is due at time of booking.

 

 

 

Forms of Payment – American Express®, Visa and MasterCard are the only acceptable forms of payment for cruise or vacation package bookings. Please note, when using an airline credit card to make payment, airline benefits (i.e., waived baggage fees, mileage points, etc.) may not apply.

 

 

 

Late Bookings – South Pacific and Europe bookings that are made within three business days of departure are subject to a $50 handling fee. For all bookings made within seven days of departure, an email address must be provided so that electronic documents can be sent. TriStar Travel is unable to accept hotel bookings that are on request within seven days of the departure date.

 

 

 

Revisions and Cancellations – In the event you need to change or cancel your reservation or any information provided as part of the reservation, please contact TriStar Travel as soon as possible. Revisions, cancellations, and refund polices vary by cruise line and other suppliers. In all instances, no-shows are nonrefundable. 

 

 

 

Cruise – Revisions: Any changes made to your cruise reservation after the initial booking date will result in supplier fees, if applicable. Please note that the cruise lines do not allow any rate reductions once penalties commence or once your cruise is paid in full. Any changes to the flight(s) portion of your cruise will result in airline change fees and additional fare collection, if applicable. 

 

 

 

Cancellations – Cancellation of your cruise could result in a loss of deposit, full payment and/or administrative fees. Please see the cruise line’s specific terms and conditions for exact penalties. 

 

 

 

Vacation Package – Revisions – Any changes made to your package reservation after the initial booking date will result in supplier fees, if applicable.

Refunds – All customers purchasing a travel package from TriStar Travel have 30 days from the date of purchase to cancel their package and receive a 100% refund minus a 20% restocking fee. Refund restrictions and policies for unused travel or vacation components vary by supplier, by season and according to promotional rules and are subject to applicable rules of each supplier. Trip protection premiums and some supplier fees are not refundable. Please inquire about refunds at the time of booking, and prior to any revisions or cancellation.

Documents – For land-only packages or air-inclusive packages to the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Mexico, Florida, Las Vegas or the South Pacific, each of the services you purchased will be outlined on your invoice. Therefore, the invoice is the only document you’ll need to carry with you as you travel. For packages to Europe, your documents will arrive via mail approximately 21 days prior to departure. They will include an invoice as well as vouchers for each of the travel services. Cruise documents are offered electronically 75 days prior to departure for Holland America, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara. All other cruise line documents will be mailed approximately 14 days prior to sailing. Please check your documents to confirm accuracy of all information and contact Costco Travel immediately if there are any discrepancies on your documents.

 

 

 

Delivery Methods - Your vacation itinerary will be emailed to the email address we have on file and a copy will also be mail to your address. 

 

Proof of Identity – For U.S. citizens, government-issued photo ID is required for all travel, both domestic and international. Passports are required for international travel. You will not be permitted to depart without necessary documentation. There may be additional requirements for international travel, such as inoculations or visas, and some countries require that passports be valid for six months or longer beyond your stay in the country. Passport and entry requirements are subject to change at any time without notice. For the most current information on passport and entry requirements, please visit the official website for the U.S. Department of State (www.travel.state.gov). Special travel documents are required for children traveling with or without their parents. If you are traveling with children, please check with the airline or cruise line prior to departure. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must contact the consulate of the country you are visiting (including Canada, www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp) to inquire about visa requirements. You must also contact the Immigration and Naturalization Service (1-800-375-5283, www.uscis.gov) for re-entry requirements into the United States.

 

Timeshare Advisory – When you arrive in your destination, even before you leave the Customs area, you may be approached by many aggressive timeshare sales agents. Timeshare sales agents are very persistent and may entice you with offers of complimentary breakfasts, free transfers, discounted tours, etc., in exchange for your attendance at a presentation designed to sell their property. These sales people are in no way associated with your ground transportation operator or with TriStar Travel. Please refer to your travel itinerary for information on how to identify your transfer company representative and where to meet them upon arrival at your destination. This will ensure your transfer arrangements are handled professionally by the company contracted by TriStar Travel. Timeshare selling can and does take place in many locations, including the airport, hotel lobbies, and even on the beaches and streets. Most hotels have a timeshare division. These sales people also use aggressive tactics. TriStar Network of Florida Inc. strongly advises you to be cautious: Free or discounted offers may mean that an intense timeshare sales pitch will follow. We recommend that you do not participate in a timeshare presentation.

 

Travel Health Information – For the most current worldwide health information, consult your family physician or the official website for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/ or by phone at 1-800-232-4636. You'll find information on recent outbreaks, required vaccinations, safe food and water tips, insect protection, illness and injury abroad, and more.

 

Requests – Specific requests must be made at the time of booking and are subject to availability at the time of check-in. Seat assignments and bedding requests cannot be guaranteed. Some hotels and cruise lines impose an additional charge if a crib, a roll-away or a refrigerator is required, payable by the guest directly to the hotel or cruise line.

 

Rental Cars – All car rentals are subject to the rules and regulations of the car rental company. Late returns and returns to alternate locations are subject to charges or penalties paid by the renter directly to the car rental company. Cars are available for rental to individuals 25 years or older (exceptions apply) holding a valid driver's license. A surcharge may be added for drivers less than 25 years of age. Rates exclude gas, optional insurance coverage, and some applicable taxes and surcharges. Any additional fees assessed at the time of booking, which cannot be prepaid, will be collected at the time of rental. The car rental company requires the imprint of a valid credit card in the renter’s name as security to cover incidentals. Auto insurance is the responsibility of the registered driver. Additional drivers must be 25 years of age and will be charged an additional rental fee.

Such participants ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY for all damage, loss or injury to themselves and any such minor child and also ASSUME THE RISKS of all personal injury, accident or illness to themselves and any such minor child. Under no circumstances, including but not limited to the negligence of others, shall TriStar Travel be liable for any injury or damage to such participants or minor children. Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, inoculations or other entry requirements of each destination, as well as re-entry into the U.S., and all safety or security conditions at such destinations, in connection with the proposed travel.
